Word 2003 - some graphics displayed as red X, after burning to cd

Hi, I'm having difficulty viewing graphics in word, after burning the documents on to CD. I've been doing this for some time on my old pc but I've recently got a new XP machine, with office 2003 and now when I burn documents on to the cd only some of the graphics will display, (they're copied and pasted onto the doc, not linked) I've removed my roxio creator and reinstalled the old one but I'm getting the same, so I've ruled out the CD creator, if anyone has any ideas, I would be really grateful.
