Word 2003 SP2 "soft page break"

Word 2003 SP2 has all of a sudden stopped inserting an automatic "soft page
break" in print preview view. I can see the "next" page by inserting a
manual page break, but this is unsatisfactory. This is also affecting the
printing of the whole document. Anyone have any suggestions or solutions?

Your description of the problem makes no sense, since Print Preview doesn't
"insert" "soft page breaks." I suspect what you're saying is that there is
text visible in Normal view that is not visible in Print Layout view or
perhaps in Print Preview. There are several possible causes of this, but the
most likely is the columns bug. Go to Format | Columns and click the preset
picture for One (even if 1 column is selected), then OK.

If this solves the problem in a given document and you're experiencing it in
all new documents, you'll need to make the same change in Normal.dot; see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/BlankDocNotBlank.htm

If that is not the problem, is your text in a text box or table that has
become wrapped? Neither can (ordinarily) exceed one page.
