I added a text watermark to my document using the commands Format ->
Background -> Printed Watermark -> Text Watermark, select "DRAFT" and leave
all other options on default.
When I did this, the header from all pages except the first page
disappeared. The headers were all linked to the header on the first page.
The footer did not disappear, but the footer was not linked to the first
page.
I unlinked the headers from the one on the first page, and then they did not
disappear when I added the watermark.
But why does this occur? If all are linked, shouldn't all of them disappear,
including the one on the first page?
I have had many issues with headers/footers/watermarks in the past. I would
love to see Microsoft spend some effort in making these attributes more
user-friendly in the future.
