I have been working on a document for the last month on an advanced topic in
computer programming. The document is several pages long and has numerous
code fragments throughout the text. Since SP3 surfaced recently I noticed
that Word does not repaint the screen properly when in normal view when I am
checking the document over for mistakes or expanding upon various topics.
I have to move to the top of the document and then to the bottom sometimes
to get Word to draw the document. I use Times New Roman for the body text
and Courier New for the code fragments. I have marked the code fragments to
be ignored by the spell checker.
This problem is frustrating and I wonder what could have happened in SP3 to
introduce this behavior. I end up trying to fix Word instead of fixing code
in my paper.
