Word 2003 Spell Checker

Hi

I am sure this will have been asked before but a search has not found
the answer. A colleague has discovered that Word 2003 seems to accept
standardize and standardise as both being correct spellings. Others
like specialize and specialise are also reported as correct. He
really needs to avoid the American spellings and I wonder if anyone
can assist with this.

The language settings appear to be correct and it looks as if the
dictionary is happy with these spellings.
