Word 2003 starts minimized and won't restore!

Hi,

Opening Word or double clicking a Word file shows the Word splash screen
then Word appears on the task bar, but it won't restore or maximize the
window! Can right click and close it but can never see the window.
Starting with /safe does work. Windows XPsp2, no other apps open.

Any clues? Thanks in advance.
