Word 2003 suddenly opening in TWO window

Office 2003, WinXP Pro } all latest patches


Hi

As of about 2 days ago, when I open Microsoft Word (2003) - with all
the
latest patches - it now opens TWO windows rather than one.

- Any idea what caused this - is my registry corrupted?
- And how can I fix it?(!)

I have tried running "detect and repair" but it made no difference.
