Word 2003 table calculations

Is there a way to set up a calculation in Word table so it takes the number
in the cell above and adds 1
4123
4124 +1
4125

=sum (above) adds all cells above until hitting an empty cell and is not
what I'm looking for. Have done it in Excel, but word tables are often
different in how calculations are processed. Thanks, Lenny

There's nothing that works relatively. You can reference the cell above by
using its address:

{ = { = Sum(A1:A1) } + 1 }
