Word 2003 - Tabs move on print?

T

This happens so much I now expect it. When I print a word document, the tabs
move. They are fine throughout the creation and saving of the document, but
for some reason when I print it, they change. So the printed document has
tabs out of place and the document on the screen now has tabs out of place.
So, somehow the pint command is moving the tabs.

HAS ANYBODY EXPERIENCED THIS AND KNOWS HOW TO FIX? MUCHO FRUSTRATING.

****THANK YOU**** for your help!!!

By default, fields are updated when you print, so there might be something
going on with fields. But in this case I would look in Tools | Macro |
Macros to see if there is a macro (anywhere other than in "Word commands")
named FilePrint or FilePrintDefault. If so, this macro is hijacking the
built-in print commands and adding something else that might cause your tabs
to move. You can choose Edit to inspect the code and find out what's
happening. It could be something as basic as resetting paragraphs to the
style-defined formatting; if you're applying direct paragraph formatting,
that could be the explanation.
