I received a .dot file (a palette of styles in a floating menu) in an .exe
from a trusted source and loaded it. I used it with no problem, then
requested some updates to the .dot. I was supplied a new .exe with the
updated .dot with the same name as the previous version. However, the display
continued to show the previous version's lists of available styles. At times,
I could see both versions (the new one superimposed over the old) but could
never use the new.
I deleted the .dot from my computer, and placed the new version in the
correct folder. Same problem. I searched my hard drive for all versions of
the .dot, found some in the recycling, and deleted them. I then placed the
new .dot in the correct folder, but it still displayed as the old version, or
as the old with the new superimposed over.
Any thoughts?
