Word 2003 Under WinXP Pro SP2 Locks Up When I insert Picture and Try to Save

I have a Word 2003 document that already has a number of pictures inserted
into the file. I have no problem whatsoever saving that document. However,
when I insert one particular 438 kb .jpg file and then click File>Save, Word
2003 locks up in a "Not Responding" state. I've even tried this with a
smaller version of the same file, but they both cause Word 2003 to lockup
when I try to save the document after inserting the .jpg file.
