Word 2003 - VB Runtime Error "9" Subscript out of range

A

Autumn

Running Windows XP

Every time I open Microsoft Word Standard Edition 2003, I get this error
message: Microsoft Visual Basic Run-time error "9" Subscript out of range
with two buttons End and Help

If you click Help, it does nothing. If you click end, then it will close and
you have access to Word. (NOTE: I do not have access to the internet)

I had a friend Google the problem and Microsoft suggests that I need
Microsoft Office SP2. I installed SP1 and SP2 but I still have the problem. I
am at my wits end trying to solve this problem.

Thank you for the time and help.

This is not a Word error. It is caused by some Add-In program. See
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/CheckIfAddinsInstalled.htm.
Uninstall the problem Add-In if it is a COM Add-In. If it is a .dot Add-In,
move it to a different folder.

Thank you. I have forwarded this to my friend who needed the help. He does
not have internet service to look for help himself.
