Word 2003 - Windows Installer appears every start

Using XP Home and Office 2003. When opening Word 2003 under a limited user
account a Windows Installer screen appears everytime Word is started and then
Word starts very slowly. The problem does not occur if I change the
privledges on the account to Computer Administrator. Have tried updating to
SP2, uninstall and re-install, Detect and repair, updating Windows Installer
to 3.1 v2, removing normal.dot, remvoing all COM add-ins (didn't have any),
removing all Startup scrippts (didn't have any), renaming Data and Options
section in registry key. None of these have worked. Does any one have any
other ideas? Thanks,

I have the same problem, tried all the above, seems to be a new problem not
yet resolved.

Since entering this post I have discovered similar problems with Access and
Excel. I spent several hours on the phones with various levels of Microsoft
support (case # SRX051003604356). Was told after Microsft not able to
resolve the problem that Office 2003 products would not work under a limited
account. I found this hard to believe so I created my own test environment
on a new laptop. The only software installed is Office 2003 (Student
edition) and XP Home edition. The Office 2003 products work fine in this
environment under a limited account. So it appears there is some registry or
rights issue on my desktop computer that is not resolved when uninstalling
and reinstalling Office. If anyone comes up with an answer I would love to
hear it because I would hate to remove all software and start from scratch.
