Word 2003 works slowly with documents full of pictures

My OS is Windows XP SP2, when I open word documents with pictures on my HP
notebook with 1,5 Centrino CPU and 512 Mb RAM with 128MB Built-in memory
shared Video card - the pictures appear after 30 secs - 1 minute delay.
Everything is ok on any other PC. I can't disable my antivirus program - so
what should I do? Perhaps should I change some parameters in Word options?
