Word 2003- Write XML(.NET)

I am developing an application in .Net 2005 which takes as input text
and pictures (.gif files) and writes out a formatted report in WORD
2003. I would like to write the report an xml file readable by word.
Please guide me.

Do you mean like File > Save as > XML document?
Word already does this?

interpret.
