This is a NAV problem and nothing to do with MS. Just scroll this one
section of the newsgroup and you will find hundreds of problems all caused
by the Office Plugin in NAV. Even users who have had a trial version of NAV
supplied with their computers which they uninstalled and used something
better find that the OFFICEAV.DLL is still present and registered in
Windows. What garfield-n-oldie has given you is a way to unregister the
troublesome dll.
: Hi garfield-n-odie,
: I think you are trying to give me a way to replace the NAV
: hooks into the office products. Although, I have not tried
: it, (though I may inspite of the dangers of loosing the
: system altogether - I am prone to do just that!!), I would
: like to continue using NAV. That is the only protection I
: have against viruses. What did MS change to make this not
: work anymore? Does Symantec have a fix for it? Should it
: come from corp IT depts?
