When attempting to open a Word doc by double clicking I
get a meassage that says "The command cannot be peformed
because a dialog box is open". When I close the error
message box the document opens normally.

If Symantec/Norton AntiVirus is installed on your computer, disable the
Office Plugin that comes with NAV.

Of course that carries the penalty of not having incoming emails being
scanned! The main source of viruses is emails so I'd think twice about the
tradeoff costs of doing that.

No it doesn't. The Office Plug-in stops NAV from scanning everytime you open
a document or template or macro, etc. The NAV system scanner is still active
and will still trap viruses that may be sent by email or from the Internet.
