Word 2003

After changing some autotext entries in a template that I've used for a while
without issue, word now comes up with an error every time I start typing in
an auto text code. It offers to save my document for recovery and restart
word. Can anyone offer suggestions as to why this starts doing this every
time I've made changes to auto text?

Hi Laura

Assuming you're saving the AutoText in your Normal.dot template, chances
are, the file has been damaged internally. You should rename Normal.dot to
NormalOLD.dot, then restart Word. This will generate a new, "clean" copy
automatically. Can you now create new AutoText entries?

if you can, go to Tools/Templates and Add-ins. Click Organizer, and use this
tool to copy the existing AutoText (Macros, styles, toolbars) in your old
Normal template to the new one.
