Word 2003

User receiving error:
“Word failed reading from this file (gives doc. name). Please restore the
network connection or replace the floppy disk and retryâ€.

Then all the documents shut down that user was working on.

Any ideas?

Was the document on her local HDD, a network drive or some type of removable
media? Are both Office and Windows (XP?) patched up to date?

The documents were on the network drive. And yes, as far as I know Office
and Windows P are all current with patches. Have you heard of this before?

No it has happened a few times over the last week. We are moving to a new
location next week so if it doesn't keep happening we will know one way or
another.
