Word 2003

Good Morning!

At work, my Word 2003 takes a long time to open a document. We have updated
patches, reinstalled Office, tweaked Option settings and so far this hasn't
resulted the issue. I also found information regarding turning off DDE so I
unchecked the DDE in File Type and still no resolution.

When you double click and open a word doc the Task Manager shows 2
winword.exe with a status of "not responding". However, within 80 seconds
the document opens.

Is there anything else you can suggest toresolve this issue?

Have you done things like Disk Cleanup and Disk Defragment to get rid
of old useless files that are clogging up the works?
