Word 2004 as useful as a pair of soiled underpants

Having a nightmare with Word at the mo.

Running over 60 clients on a OSX network, and practically every doc created
with WordX changes when opened in Word 2004. One reoccurring favourite is 'a
24 page doc composed in 'Word X' will open in 'Word 2004' as a 6 page doc?'

Has anyone else had this problem? Am I missing something?

Many thanks in advance

As loath as I am to respond to your useless subject line....

Word 2004 changed the way the screen is drawn from Word X. Page breaks are
now in different places, though supposedly pagination across platforms is
less different. There is nothing you can do about this. If you use Google
groups to search this group, you will find other complaints and info on how
others handled this.

However, going from a 24-page doc to a 6-page doc sounds as though something
is way out of line, and that there may be more going on in your setup than
just the screen draw changes.

PS. Messing with the Compatibility options and printer metrics in the
Preferences dialog might give you some control over this. You should look
for the previous discussions of this issue.
