Word 2004 bug in desktop printing?

I'm trying to print a folder full of Word 2004 (11.1 040910) documents
in Panther (10.3.7) by dragging the entire folder contents to the HP
LaserJet 4100 Series Rendezvous printer in the Finder dock or to the
LaserJet 4100 TCP-LPR desktop printer. The result is that the LaserJet
prints multiple copies of only one document. If I drag 10 documents, I
get 9 copies of one of those documents.

In contrast, when I drag three TextEdit files to the desktop printer or
its icon in the Finder dock, each one of the 3 documents will print one
time.

These behaviors suggest that Panther handles desktop printing fine, but
Word 2004 does not.

Is this a known bug in Word 2004?

Is there a solution or workaround? Thanks.

Hey James,

Unfortunately your best bet is to open the document(s) and individually
print them from Word.

But thanks for your post to the Newsgroup (especially with the detailed
versions numbers and printer descriptions). We do read these, and they help
us incorporate changes into a future release.
