Word 2004 - corrupt fonts

When I open Mac Word 2004, Word says that 15 of my fonts
are "corrupt" and should deleted. Every other program
including Word 2001, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. seems
to use them just fine. Anyone else seen this problem.

Nope, and the fact the other apps appear OK is not really indicative of
anything. They might simply "ignore" (or not be affected by) the problem.

Anyway, you can also use another app like FontDoctor (even in demo mode) to
confirm this.

For some reason, Office 2004 is very picky about fonts. One of the
common symptoms is that Word/Excel/Powerpoint quit on startup.

In my case, I ended up throwing out 3 fonts. A number of the font
diagnosis programs I downloaded didn't find any problems, but the
Office apps disagreed!

Yes, I had run Font Doctor, but as you said it doesn't
seem to have a probelm with the fonts, just Word 2004.
