Word 2004 Crashes When Printing

I am running Word 2004 on a MacBook, OS 10.5.2.

Since upgrading to Leopard, Word frequently quits when I choose to print. I have tried repairing my permission, but this did not help the problem. Can someone advise me of any possible causes and fixes for this? Thanks for your assistance.

I'm afraid I don't have good news for you. This is from an earlier post by
John McGhie on this subject:

Apple has changed something in OS 10.5.2. Printing that used to work fine,
now doesn't, with some models of printer from some manufacturers.

Currently, your only available option is to roll back to OS 10.5.2 and wait
for an update.

There's an update from Microsoft due around the middle of March. But I am
not sure that it will address this issue, because I am not sure it's
Microsoft code that's faulty. Microsoft Office has almost nothing to do
with printing: it just hands the file over to OS 10.
