Word 2004 Documents Cannot Be Seen in Word v.x. Help!

Hello everyone -

I use Word 2004 (regular edition) and am working with another
freelancer who uses Word v.X. She says that when she receives my
documents that they are blank... just white space with nothing else. I
have tried to downsave my work in the hopes that she can open it...
but she cannot. I have also tried saving them in Text and RTF.
Nothing.

Is there something I can do... or that she can do from v.X that will
allow her to open my documents (and alleviate headaches)? Thank you
for your help!

This is certainly not expected behaviour. My 2004 and v.X documents
open in the other environment faultlessly.

Try chopping the problem in half, or quarters. You know anybody else
with v.X? If all else fails, send me a sample. Can your colleague see
Word 2004 documents from others?

You might consider variations of "send" too. You wanna zip the doc
before attaching as e-mail? Can you send a CD or flash stick via ye
olde snail mail?

Can you see her docs OK? What happens if you send them back unchanged?
(That's to eliminate the e-mail uncertainty)

Ask again after trying a few of those experiments.
Not everyone understands enough teco to decipher my real e-mail addy.
Wherever you see nospam, substitute elliott. It might be a good idea to
post here if and when you send a sample. You would not believe how
savagely cavalier my junk filter has become.
