Word 2004 does not support selected page printing

Using Word 2004 on a Mac (OS 10.3.5), I can no longer print out
selected pages to a HP 4600 printer. Any suggestions for correction of
this problem, which may have appeared after the most recent Mac OS
update?

Are you using an HP 4600 print driver? or Any Printer?

On all the printers I have access to (about 12, depending on which
client I'm at), I can print selected text, the current page, or a range
of pages.

Do you not see these options in the print dialog? If you do, what
happens when you try to print?

Yes, I see the options in the Print dialog and can select specific
page ranges, but the entire document is always selected for printing
and not the specific pages. The effect is seen on a range of networked
printers, including the HP Color Laserprinter 4600dn.
