Word 2004 Drawing Rotation Question

Hello:

Word 2004

I hope someone can help: I've done a diagram in Word in Landscape. Now, I've
decided I want to rotate it 90 degrees to fit it on a Portrait page. I can
change Landscape to Portrait in "Page Setup...", but most of the image hangs
off of the right-hand side of the page.

I've grouped everything and tried rotating it 90 degrees left, but the
option is greyed out. I've tried grouping it and shrinking it (holding down
the Shift key while I drag) to make it smaller and then rotating it to the
new Portrait layout (again, greyed out). I''ve tried (sigh...) everything...

ALL I WANT TO DO IS: Spin the grouped drawing and the page setup 90 degrees
from Landscape to Portrait. I can't imagine that it would be THAT TOUGH!

Can anyone offer any insights on how this seemingly simple task might be
executed?

Thanks in advance for all the help!

Hello Guy -

It isn't "that tough", but it may be impossible:)

Exactly how did you "draw" the diagram? Is it an Organization Chart? If it
is you can copy, then Edit> Paste Special - Picture & be able to rotate it -
but you won't be able to edit it further. [Well, you "can" but it's a real
dog's breakfast to deal with. If you expect to have to revise it you're best
off to keep an unmodified original copy stored in a separate doc.]

If you drew it using shapes & lines you should be able to rotate it, but
only the graphic elements will rotate - any text within the shapes will
remain on the 0-180 horizontal.
