Word 2004 for Mac - installing update 11.4

I an using WORD 11.3.5 (070413); downloaded the 11.4 update today but even after I'd restarted the laptop, the update cannot find the programs to update. Pls help. Thanks.

There is a whole bunch of updates you need to apply prior to running the
11.4 update; the system requirements state that you need to be running
version 11.3.9 in order to be able to install 11.4. The easiest way to
upgrade is by using the Microsoft AutoUpdate application which you can find
in your Applications folder; run it a couple of times until it can't find
any further updates, and you'll be completely up-to-date.

Downloaded 11.3.6 and I had the same response; had to Force Quit. So I went back to 11.3.5 same thing.

(Auto Update only gives me 11.4.0)
