Word 2004 freezes when saving

I'm running version 11.3.5 of Word 2004 on a Mac (OS 10.3.9). It
recently started freezing when I try to use <Save> or <Save As...>. It
doesn't recover from the freeze and I end up having to force Word to
quit. This happens regardless of the file size or origin. It also
persists across all user accounts on my computer.

Any clues on how to fix this?

Is this all documents, or just a particular document?

If it's all documents, replace your Normal template and try again.
