Word 2004 Hyperlink problem

Whenever I highlight a word and try to assign a hyperlink to it, the
dialog box that pops up shows a "Favorites" and "History". The History
button is grayed out and cannot be accessed and the Favorites shows a
bunch of default apple.com sites and not the favorites I haved saved. I
am using Safari as a brower 2.02. Is there a way to get Word to
recognize my Safari Favorites and History?

AFAIK, that only worked with Internet Explorer. You can add items to the
favorites pane in IE and they'll show up in Word (after you close and
restart Word).

Alternatively, you can directly edit the

Favorites.html

and

History.html

files in the

~:Library:preferences:Explorer

folder (where ~ is your home directory). The files are nothing more than
badly formatted definition lists, with some header info. One could
conceivably write an applescript to transfer sites from Safari to the
Favorites.html file, I suppose.
