SetUp:
G5, Mac OS 10.4.2, Office 2004 (updated), suitcase 11.0.4.0223

Main problem: Postscript Type 1 fonts activated in suitcase (they ar
clean fonts from Adobe Font Folio) do not show in Word fonts menu (
trashed the font cache pref - no result) - These fonts are OK in Quar
6.5, Illustrator 11, InDesign 4 etc. but not in Word or Excel.

Second question: In word 11 how can I remove the fonts I am not usin
from the fonts menu (asian fonts, etc.

What happens if you *don't* use Suitcase? In other words, can you
install these fonts in the normal way, so that they show up in e.g.
TextEdit, and if you can, *then* do they show up in Word?

You cannot remove fonts from the automatically built fonts menu in just
Word. However, you can disable fonts at system level (with Font Book).
And of course Word keeps track of recently used fonts, so after you've
used the two or three fonts you *are* using, they are at the top of the
popup menu, and you can just ignore the rest of the menu.

If you're really desperate, just construct your own menu consisting of
the fonts you do want, and use that.
