Word 2004 Print Problem

D

Dave Leary

I received a Word document as an email attachment today and had a very
unique problem with printing it.

I have two printers to choose from at work, a networked HP 4500 Color
Laser, and a networked HP 5si monochrome laser. The document would
print on the 5si, but would not print on the 4500.

I checked & other Word documents would print on the 4500, as well as
other documents created from other programs.

I tried updating the HP drivers, saving the document with a different
name, repairing permissions, checking document permissions, and finally
cut & pasted the entire contents into a new Word 2004 document, No go on
the 4500, but printed every time on the 5si.

Any ideas?

Dave:

Check you have no CMYK colour in there? Microsoft Office applications won't
currently handle colour depths greater than 24-bit (RGB).

Sorry: Wild guess...
