Regarding auto text/building blocks issue, we were looking for a faster way
to get auto text (or building blocks) whatever you want to term it, to be
placed on a page. In the Word 2003 version, auto text was quick to be
retrieved by simply typing what you named the text (or acronym), seeing a
bubble, and hitting the enter key.
With building blocks, we have found that the quickest way to access the auto
text is to put the building block organizer on your quick access toolbar;
click on the organizer and type or select the named text (you can’t even type
in the full name because you can only type 2 letters) and then you hit the
insert key. This process is not as speedy as the older Microsoft system,
especially the first time you use it for the day.
Auto correct is much quicker; however that maxes out after 255 characters,
so we cannot use it for most of our auto text.
What is the quickest way to recall a large volume of text? Building blocks
get the job done, but not as quickly as we would like.
Thank you.
