Word 2007 - autotextlist and macros using autotext

N

Nadine

The documents and templates were created in Word 2003, same with the autotext
entries.
When choose it from autotextlist or macros, which are mostly addresses.
Using autotextlist to select a city and populates the mailing address
macro - produces a list of 100+ cities to choose from and populates the
address.

When select the content goes in the document as double spaced
when reveal formatting - shows 6pt before 10 point after multiple spacing 1.5

I clear the formatting resave the autotext entry save the template or
document,
try to pick from the list again and it does the same formatting again.

Tried editing the propertieis of the autotext, selected, insert content
only, insert content in its own paragraph, but still comes back with the same
formatting - shows 6pt before 10 point after multiple spacing 1.5

Client has several dozens of templates and macros with 100's off addresses
in them with 100's of autotext. Recreating all this will take ages.

Is there a simpler way to fix this. Any ideas or help would be extremely
greatful.

Really hating how the Autotext is now stored and handled it was much easier
to control in 2003 and easier to share in 2003, so much more work now,
especially when you have 100+ users needing the same content, can't just copy
the normal.dot anymore which was so easy, and time consuming. Very
frustratings, finally figured out how to get the autotext to follow the
document, after 2 days of fumbling around and alot of testing and reading.
Urrgg driving me crazy

When you insert the autotext, what style is applied to it. In my testing,
the autotext is inserted with the style(s) with which it was formatted when
the entry was created. It is for that reason that I believe that you need
to modify the styles that are applied to it.
