I am using Word 2007 on a Windows Vista machine.
I have created under Word 2007 a "Book fold" format document which currently
has 76 pages and is saved as docx. A number of the pages have pictures
using the "Inline Layout". The "Sheets per booklet" is set to 4. That means
pages 13 - 16 print on one sheet of paper with pages 16 and 13 on one side,
and pages 14 and 15 on the other side.
Problem: pictures don't print out on the correct page.
Example 1: Page 9 (the right side of the sheet) has a picture with text
above and below. Page 12 (the left side of the sheet) is all text. The
picture appears on page 12, over the text.
Example 2: Page 16 (left side of the sheet) has a picture with text above
and below. Page 13 (the right side of the sheet) also has a picture with
text above and below. In this case the page 16 picture appears on page 13
while the page 13 picture appears on page 16.
Example 3: Page 20 (left side of the sheet) has a picture with text above
and below. Page 17 (right side of the sheet) has text only. The picture
prints on page 17 under the text.
Work-around 1: save the file as a "doc" file - Word 97-2003. This prints
correctly from Word 2003 running under Vista, Word 2003 running under XP,
and Word 2007 running under Vista.
I have tested this on HP LaserJet 1320D and a Brother HL-5170DN so it does
not appear to be a function of printer drivers.
I am willing to send the file to someone at Microsoft if it would help with
testing.
If I should be posting this in another group, which would be best?
I can be reached at LHWise (at) att (dot) net
Thanks,
