I can't get the bottom border in word 2007 to print. When I set the borders
everything looks great. Go to print preview bottom border is not there nor
when I print it. Changed margins, checked paper size. When I change it to
landscape the right side is not there.I have been on the phone with Dell for
hours they now want me to pay for s/w support and my computer is only 5
months old. It has done this from the beginning. Is there a solution??????

Your border is too close to the bottom edge of the page. Did you insert
a clipart border? Or did you choose a page border from Page Layout |
Page Borders? Assuming it was the latter, click on the Options button
on the Page Border tab, increase the bottom margin to 31 points from
edge of page, and see if the border prints. If it still doesn't print,
then change the bottom margin to 24 points from text, and see if the
border prints. If it still doesn't print, then continue to decrease the
bottom margin's distance from text until the border does print.

The only way I can get it to work is increasing 31 points from the text. That
still dosn't look nic e. 31 points is as far as I can go. Anything from the
edge will not print. I wanted the border close to the edge of the page. Is
this a problem with word 2007? my o3 version has no problems.

Thanks

If neither "from edge" nor "from text" will work, then you'll have to create
your own page border as a graphic anchored to the header; you won't be able
to use BorderArt, however.

Read what I wrote. Yes, 31 points from EDGE OF PAGE is as far as you
can go, but you can choose something like 12 points from TEXT to move
the border closer to the text (which is a different way to move the
border farther from the edge of the page). When you click on the
Options button, you get to choose a measurement (such as 31 points) and
you get to choose whether that measurement is taken from edge of page or
from text.

If the border ends up too close to the text, then in Page Setup you can
choose something like 1.5 inches for the bottom page margin to move the
text farther from the edge of the page, and then increase the bottom
border's distance from text.

If your o3 and o7 are installed on the same computer and you are
printing to the same printer, then the same settings in o3 should work
in o7.
