Word 2007: Can I turn off "Track Changes"

B

Brent

I like the feature, but I don't want it on by default every time I open a
document. I don't need to/want to see all the changes made ALL THE TIME.

Can I turn it off so that every time I open a document, I don't
automatically see the redline version?

Thanks

On the Revisions Toolbar, select ACCEPT ALL button and then click the
Revisions button to toggle off Track Changes.

I'm sorry...I know how to turn it off. I want it off ALWAYS. In other
words, I don't want to have to turn it off every time I open a document.

Is it possible?

It sounds like you have Track Changes turned on in the Normal.dotm template.
Open that template directly (use the Open command and navigate to the
Templates folder). If Track Changes is turned on there, turn it off and
save. It may be necessary to type a space and delete it to make Word think
there's a reason to save the file.
