Word 2007 can't make first letter of sentence a capital letter

Office Word 2007 can't make first letter of sentence automatically a capital
letter, although it is set up to do so. Does anyone know how to fix it?

I hope this would work.

In order to make first sentence automatically a capital, you need to enable
the "Capitalize first letter of sentences" option.

To do this, perform the following steps.
1. At first, open Microsoft Office Word application.
2. Click the Microsoft Office Button, and then click "Word Options."
3. Click on "Proofing" category.
4. Then, under "Auto Correct Options" section, click "AutoCorrect Options."
5. On the "AutoCorrect tab", check the option "Capitalize first letter of
sentences"
