WORD 2007 CONVERSIONS

B

boyshanks

I have Word 2002 SP3 on my computer. I downloaded the Beta version of
Office. The beta version expired at it's predetermined time, and I cannot
open the few files I saved in the .docx format.

I have downloaded Word viewer 2003, I have downloaded the compatibility
pack. However I am still unable to open the file. I keep getting an error
that says:

'This is a pre release verison of the Compatibility Pack and
can open pre release Office 2007 files only. Do you want
to check for a newer version of the Compatibility Pack?'

I have checked for a newer version and not found it. I have re downloaded
the existing comp pack and re installed it and rebooted my computer. I have
tried to open the file from within Word, Word Viewer and Windows Explorer and
the same thing happens. My computer is up to date with its MS updates.

Even though it seems self explanatory, could someone please explain the
above error?

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to open this file?

Thanks in advance
