word 2007 cover page

In word 2007 I would like to have a cover page with a background picture. I
can only select all the elements on the cover page if I insert the picture
into a text box. However it is very difficult to get the proper cursor to
select all the elements. I ended up not being able to make the picture fill
to the border of the text box or else I never could select the text box at
all.

Is there an easier way to get a picture in the background of a cover page as
in the Alphbet example cover page?
Thanks!

Hi Dianne;

Just keep in mind that a Cover Page provided in Word is no different than
any other page except that it's created for you by MS to save you time. If
you are going to reconstruct the whole thing you'd probably be better off to
start from scratch on a new blank page.

You're most likely having difficulty with selection because not all are the
same type of element - You can't multiple-select a text box & a picture, for
example. In that template the alpha background is text in a text box but the
title stuff is fields in a single cell table.
