0x000521ed, Prozess-ID 0xa9c, Anwendungsstartzeit 01c8cad0e5501e2f.

I already tried it in safe mode (winword /a) - the same results.

The error is indicating that you need to update your graphics driver. Check
with the graphics card manufacturer's website for the latest driver and then
reinstall the graphics.

Hi Terry,

thanks for your advice!
I just updated my intel graphic (965 express family) driver but the
error ist still there with the same error message. :-(

I suppose, that any recent windows update is the cause of the error. I
will uninstall step by step the last updates and check, if the error
still occurs.

If that fails, you could also rollback using the Windows Restore feature as
updates should have created a Restore point before installing themselves.

Hi Terry,

my problem was only on several word documents. After deinstalling the
following update (KB950113) my word works well now.

Thanks for your fast replies!

I'm having the same problem. It began the morning after an update, but I'm not sure which one, unfortunately. But here's my error message and details as well--maybe you can do with no other "tech" has done--I'm on Level II techs now! Is the "regedit" deletion also something I should try?

No. This is a TOTALLY different symptom. Leave it to Tech Support to sort out.

MFC80.dll is a visual basic dll. You probably have an incompatible macro trying to run. Tech Supt should be able to isolate the fault.
