Word 2007 document suddenly renames itself as a temp file

I am using Word 2007. I save my document as a Word 2007 format. The next day
I can open it fine, but I notice after working on it for awhile it suddenly
has become a temp file (~WRL0261) and when I hit "Save" I have to give the
file a name. The original document that I had opened is nowhere to be found.

I've run a Diagnostic on it and all came back fine.

I have Vista Business, Dell Precision M6400. Lots of ram and disk space.
