Word 2007 Fields

Where can i get some help on word 2007 fields, namely a database of existing
and what they do and some information about how to work with them?

Given that Word 2007 help is poor, I *may* get round to writing a page
describing all the fields and their options when I have the time -but that's
for another day. In the meantime if you add the insert field command to the
QAT (Quick Access Toolbar) the (brief) description of each field is
indicated in the dialog box underneath the field selector.

But note that there is a little more information on field codes if you take
a look at the online help. In the Help window, you can click the option to
the right of the status bar and choose "Show content from Office Online" or
