I recently had word 2007 installed and one thing that puzzles me is
that open file/save file dialogs are very slow.
THey even have a special progrerssbar window that says "Building root
folder list" or ssomething, and I get too see it every time I pop up
folders dropdownlist. Also, every time I browse to a folder where I
haven't been (counting from the opening of the current dialog instance)
it takes 10-15 seconds for Word to show the contents of the folder.
There are few files in my working folders, like 20 per folder, max, so
the file count is not an issue
File manager and dialogs in other programs show the same foldrrs
normally.
Is there any way to fix this?
