Word 2007 Find/Replace Function Fails

I just upgraded from Office Professional 2003 to 2007, then applied the
updates (SP2). I cannot get Find to find anything in any document, even a
fresh, native 2007 file. Diagnostics do not detect any problems.

Does anyone know how to make the new "Editing Group" work?
Or, should I try re-installing the whole package?

Hi,

This can happen if you selected formatting options or pasted formatted text
into the Find what text box in a previous search. In such cases you need to
clear the formatting options. Otherwise, Word will continue to search for the
text with that formatting and won't find it.

In the Find and Replace dialog box the formatting options that have been
selected for the search string and for the replacement string are indicated
directly below the Find what and Replace with text boxes. There is a simple
way to clear all the formatting options.
1.Press Ctrl+H to open the Find and Replace dialog box with the Replace tab
selected.
2.Click More.
3.In the expanded Search and Replace dialog box, click the No Formatting
button and clear all the check boxes.
4.Click Less.
5.Perform a new search.
