Word 2007 freezes on opening - Will open in Safe Mode

I recently installed Office 2007 on my laptop. Operating system Vista
Business. It worked fine for a couple of weeks but recently when I start the
Word Application it freezes and the mouse does not work. When I open an
already created document I can use the keyboard somewhat to navigate around
the document but very limited and my mouse does not respond. I can open the
application in safe mode and it seems to work fine. Has anyone else
experienced this problem? I tried re-installing but this dis not help. Have
not experienced the problem in any of the other Microsoft Office 2007
Applications.

It sounds as thought you have either not activated the product or it is a
time expired trial version.

If it were unactivated or expired, I doubt that it would work in Safe Mode,
either.

Good Point. I guess a corrupt normal.dotx or Building Blocks.dotx then.

It is activated and is not a trial version I will try the solution for the
corrupted normal.dotx and or building blocks.dotx. Thanks
