word 2007 freezing when i try to save, print, any doc.

Word 2007 is freezing and has to be forced to shut down if i try and save,
print or even close rescued docs window. i have completely removed and
reinstalled but it did not fix the problem. occurring with even a new doc.
with no formating

Almost certainly a bad third party add-in. See

FYI: starting word with /a allowed me to close the rescued files pane which
was freezing word.
