Word 2007 Get Started Toolbar will not load

Hi,

I have a client that is trying to install the Word 2007 Get Started Toolbar
and it will not load. It shows up as an inactive addin under the addin
mananger.

Everything we try to do to make it active does not work. Even if we go in
and select to make it active it does not stay.

there's a discussion of the problem here:
http://groups.google.com/group/micr...Get+Started+Tab&rnum=1&hl=en#cea883da095cc013

Here's what we did:
1) Client uninstalled the Get Started tab and then rebooted and then
re-installed. Did not work.
2) Client installed .Net 3.0, rebooted and that did not work.

Any suggestions on where to go from here?

Thanks.

This fixed the problem.

As a preface, the client did have .NET 2.0 / 3.0 installed and it still
wasn't showing. I did the following steps:

Uninstall the Getting Started Tab using Add/Remove Programs
Restart computer and go back to Add/Remove Programs. Click on Office 2007,
"Change"
Under the components of Office 2007 I made sure that .NET Programmability
Support was active (which it was not).
Restarted computer and reinstalled the Getting Started bar....it worked then.
