Hi guys. I have a brother HL2040 networked through a D-link
DI-824VUP's usb port using the printmate port software provided by
DLink. Word 2007 hangs when asked to print to that printer, and
completely glues up the printer. It is virtually impossible to cancel
the print run (seems to be stuck in compiling). Both my desktop (XP
home) and laptop (XP Pro) machines and the Acer G330 server running
SBS2003 have the printer installed as a local machine with the
printermate DLink port software. have now inherited the problem even
though Word 2007 only resides on the laptop. Help ! I'm pulling my
hair out as I haven't been able to sort this all day ! Thanks to
anyone who can provide any insights into a fix. Cheers
