Word 2007 hangs on exit

I recently installed Office 2007 (full release) and for whatever
reason Word hangs each time I try to close the application, and I have
to force it to quit. I have reinstalled the whole office suite twice
now, and none of the other applications have this problem.
Any suggestions?

Thanks for the tip - even though my problem was related to closing
Word and not starting, I was able to fix it with the solutions
provided. The biggest tip was seeing how Word behaved when I started
it without templates - Start -> Run -> winword.exe /a

I ended up renaming the .dot files in my Word startup folder to .old
and now the problem seems to be fixed.

We need to rename the FAQ as it does cover closing problems as well as
opening problems. It isn't obvious though :)
